Goodbye Kamotiq Inn 4 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 21
So the Kamotiq is gone forever. What's your best story about the Kamotiq Inn? It will always hold a place in my heart as the first place I had a decent meal in Iqaluit. When I moved here in 1999, I use to love the Caraboo steak & fries, and then some nights I switched it up with the T-Bone.

After 2002 I only ate there a total of 3 times as it seemed to go down hill, but many of my friends still went regularly. I'll never forget the time that a lady at the table behind us threw her bear at her companion, he moved out of the way and it slammed against the wall next to me. It took 3 staff and a few of their friends to get them out and we finished our mean almost like nothing happened.

When I first came back in 1987, I used to go with a bunch of freinds for lunch and dinner on the weekend. We would all order a sandwich and drink a few beer each. We would talk the afternon away and around dinner time, the waiter would then tell us to order more food or we would have to leave. We would all order steaks and more beer. We would often stay until closing.

The K-inn sucked, Nothing good about it at all. I can't believe people liked that hole in the ground, Goodbye and good riddance.
